  1. Macbook would be perfect fit for my daily activity as my workflows rely heavily on OSX platform on my office iMac. I do need a mobile workstation that allow me to work everywhere and keep synced with my iMac workstation via iCloud.

    Here’s my pitch.

    In the upcoming months, I plan do lots of research for some exciting UX projects, and having a more portable laptop for travel would be so useful, I could cry.

    My life would be at LEAST 200% easier, and my debt $899 less. Seriously!

    I’d use the Mac for all of the following things: designing (of course), editing photos, planning projects, emailing future employers, making moodboards, sending funny gifs on Slack (jussst kidding), watching Netflix between classes, fixing up my portfolio, hustlin’, and Skyping with (hopefully!) future employers.

    So, yeah. Save a college student in 100k debt a few dollars today and help her land that awesome job! -fin-

  3. I’m really looking for a Macbook for my front-end task. I’m from Vietnam and not familiar with OSX and Apple’s product. I’m using an HP laptop with Windows-based platform and have some projects that requires OSX system to work with (Sketch, Safari and iOS simulator).   4. I’m about to finish my major on software development (Software engineering to be exact), and I plan to start my own business on offering webpages for small and medium businesses in my area. I focus mostly on that and small web applications.
    Winning the giveaway can really help me, as my notebook is on its last legs and a lot of good tools for this kind of work are better on OSX, aside that is very light, and could take it easily to make a showcase of my work and impress my future clients ๐Ÿ™‚

  19. I’m 18, and I would like to go on graphic and web design university, but for now, it’s not possible, because I haven’t got equipment for that. My parents can’t buy me some laptop which can start newest photoshop or illustrator. I have computer with 512 mb RAM memory, and it’s very slow, and my monitor is realy bad, i can count pixels on every site and image. I can start just photoshop cs4, but it’s still slow, whenever I start it, I can’t save my work because I have no memory, and I must take screenshot of that work. Macbook will help me to learn programme languages and graphic design better, and it will also help me to make some money for my school. Thank you.

  26. Well, to tell you the truth I have never owned a MAC, it’s way to expensive in my country. Its costs 3 or 4 times more than a PC.

  27. Being a enthusiastic person I always wanted to learn new things. At the age of 14, I got introduced to this Web Designing field.

    Starting off with my first website (song sharing site—Now closed) on my assembled PC, I gained some knowledge about this field.   37. I come from an ad agency background in the 80s-90s and one of the few who made the switch to web and survived. My last mac was a G5 and after that I stuck with a PC coz itโ€™s cheaper. Now all the great tools like codekit and coda are mac-only and I can only use mac at work. Although already in my late 40s, I feel I can still learn a lot and do more, I just need the right equipment to expedite the process.

    I’m a recent Computer Science graduate leaving for the Peace Corps in Indonesia this March, and a recent laptop with a collection of themes would be an amazing tool to teach and design with.   49. My daughter started a blog, Losergurl.com- when she was 13 after a suicide attempt due to horrific bullying. She wanted to show other teens that she was able to get through bullying, and they could, too. She’s become an inspiration to many bullied kids all over the world! Ally is also a talented singer/songwriter (check out her song, Brave- https://youtu.be/rz_Gi7rNpSA ) and she really REALLY needs a mac to use Garage Band to help her move to the next level. She has a producer that she can work with, but she needs a Mac to be able to use the apps needed.
