I never really thought about how good FAQs are for a subscription page. That makes perfect sense, though. I know for a fact that well thought out questions will pretty much erase any doubts that a person may have had about signing up for your subscription.

Yes, a well designed page is required to get the user interested in signing up. I would prefer good design, good details about the product and the information what I am looking for, easy page navigation and good website loading time, before signing up even for a email subscription.

Cracker article Patrick, the best I’ve read for a while, and great web usability guidelines that can apply to designing not only subscription pages, but other pages too. Bookmarking this one.
For the record, I’m on the left-to-right team, just feels more natural to me, because, as a potential subscriber, most of the time I want the $0 plan, then I’ll continue reading to see what else is on offer for the priced plans, and its logical to see those from smallest $ to highest $. In your screenshots above, the agilezen page, while nicely designed, just looks wrong with the right-to-left pricing.

Thanks! Ya, the days of cheesy clip art graphics and obnoxious banners are over. People are tired of being shouted at and they are starting to run away from loud, annoying pages – the “used car lot sales guy” phase of the internet is over. I hope.

These are all true. Specially about over using banners, “30 Guarntee” and cheesy graphics, It is very important to know that having nice design in the page is important but it is about detail, buttons, icons, white spaces, lines breaks, spaces , type are all designs. Some think by having cheesy comic graphics , they get attention
