Website Stripping Effect with jQuery

Development March 15, 2010 by Mary Lou 4 Comments

Here is nice example of how to use the Sexy Curls jQuery Plugin by Elliott Kember. The idea is to show the original sketch of your website. This is done by dragging the page curl to reveal the sketch image “behind” the original website.

For this showcase we used some free website template and created a scaffold image with the Stamp filter in Photoshop. Of course, this is much nicer if you have a real sketch of your page.

If you have a portfolio, this could be a nice effect to show the design or model concepts behind the finished work.

This example does not have a “peel back” option, but you can refresh the page to repeat the effect.

Enjoy!
